The average summer temperature is about 28-30°C, but mild sea breezes help mitigate the effects of heat. Winters are mild with temperatures rarely falling below 15°C. Marbella enjoys an average of over 300 sunny days a year, making it an ideal place for sun lovers.

Marbella also offers many opportunities for sports, including tennis, water sports on its crystal-clear warm waters, and even golf.

Our Tour of Marbella
The first place we visited during our stay in Marbella was the Old Town, an ideal place for a walk. The bustling streets, filled with colorful houses, blooming flowers, and small shops, are the real essence of Marbella. Cafes offering delicious Spanish tapas and sangria make you want to stay here longer.
Another attraction not to be missed is Plaza de los Naranjos, the main square of the Old Town. Surrounded by centuries-old orange trees that bloom and smell in the spring, this square is bustling with life from early morning to late night.
Then we visited the majestic Dali statues scattered throughout the city, which added a touch of surreal charm to my journey. These sculptures are publicly available and are a great backdrop for photos.
Our trip could not be complete without visiting Puerto Banús, known as the “playground for the rich”. There are plenty of luxury yachts, boutiques, and restaurants here. Even if you’re not interested in shopping, it’s worth coming here to admire the luxury yachts and feel the atmosphere.
Finally, we couldn’t leave Marbella without spending a day on one of its beautiful beaches. We chose Elviria beach – with soft golden sand, turquoise sea, and immaculate appearance, it was the perfect place to relax and recharge after a day full of sightseeing.
Wonderful Beaches of Marbella
Marbella is a real paradise for beach lovers. The city offers over 20(!) kilometers of sandy coasts with many unique beaches. From Playa de la Bajadilla, next to the fishing port, to the luxurious Nikki Beach in Elviria, everyone will find a beach for themselves in Marbella. Many of these beaches have a “Blue Flag”, which is a guarantee of their cleanliness and safety. Each of them has its unique character, but all offer beautiful views, crystal clear water, and excellent conditions for sunbathing.
Culinary Journeys in Marbella
Marbella is also a place worth visiting if you love delicious food. The local cuisine is full of fresh seafood, traditional rice and vegetable dishes, as well as world-famous Andalusian delicacies such as gazpacho and tapas. Whether you choose traditional taverns in the Old Town, exclusive beach restaurants, or even tapas bars on the outskirts of the city, Marbella will surely satisfy your culinary cravings. But even if luxury is not your priority, it’s worth visiting these places to feel the unique atmosphere of this place.

The cuisine of Marbella, like most of Andalusia, is a unique mix of tradition and the freshness of local ingredients. It is famous for the richness of flavors that reflect the cultural influences from both Europe and the Middle East.

The official currency in Spain is the Euro. Credit cards are widely accepted, but it is always a good idea to have some cash on hand, especially in smaller establishments or for tipping.

If you prefer more freedom, car rental is a good option. There are numerous car rental companies in the city, and the roads are well maintained and usually well signposted. However, remember that parking in Marbella can be difficult, especially in the summer season.
